New server node
Many thanks to Kegan Loon for hosting a server node. Every server node makes us that much more reliable.

Teen Grid
Aeper Jie and Cory Bjornson appear to have Stargates working on the Teen Grid. I managed to catch a screenshot, and I must say, they look better than some of the gates on the Main Grid. Way to go!

External API
I've added an API to allow external gate networks to dial in to the Open Stargate Network. I'm also pleased to announce that Zachary Carter successfully demonstrated a dial in from the Alteran network today. Full details on the API can be found in the readme at http://ma8p.com/~opengate/

v016 released
Modified the event horizon to IM users when they walk through it to let them know they need to touch it, plus minor changes to facilitate llMapDestination's "lookat" parameter, if it ever gets implemented.

Updating many gates
Trekker Trudeau notes that, when updating many gates, it is most efficient to attach the updater to your avatar and simply teleport to each gate.

Indeed, this is how I update my gates.

It wouldn't take much for someone to modify libsl for this purpose; then you could have a script perform all that teleporting for you. Any volunteers?

v015 released
v015 is out. This fixes an issue where, for some reason, the SL servers "forget" the XMLRPC channel for opengate.lsl, thus preventing a wormhole from opening (in or out).

Gates should now reopen an XMLRPC channel if they receive no messages for 12 hours. It's a bit of a kludge, but it ensures that gates don't get stuck in this broken state.
